The aftercare of your tattoo will greatly determine the way your tattoo will look once it has fully healed.

 

Remove Any Bandage after 1 hour and no more than 4.

1) Gently wash your tattoo using only your clean fingertips and an unscented antibacterial liquid hand soap, (No wash cloths, loofahs etc), and rinse with water. Avoid perfumed body washes and shampoo.

2) Gently tap dry your tattoo with a clean paper towel.

3) Apply a thin layer of AQUAPHOR, unscented lotion, or coconut oil (not Vaseline) to the tattoo. Massage it into your skin as if it was lotion. DO NOT leave a thick layer.

-Repeat steps 1-3, 2-3 times daily (morning, mid-day and before bed) or if your tattoo brushes against something and becomes dirty, for a minimum of 1-3 days.

4) After scabbing starts, stop using Aquaphor & replace it with an unscented lotion or coconut oil. Continue these same steps with the lotion for 3 additional weeks. 

 

Your tattoo WILL itch and it WILL scab. DO NOT scratch or pick scabs. NO swimming pools or jacuzzis. NO beach, no direct sunlight, and try to avoid tight/form fitting clothing as often as possible for at least 4 weeks. 

DO NOT use any other products, disinfectants, or moisturizers until the tattoo is healed.

-Signs of infection include: persistent redness/swelling, tenderness of the procedure site, fever,
chills or pus drainage from the procedure site. If any of the above occurs, seek immediate
medical attention.

Your tattoo may take 6 or more weeks to completely heal.
